The Board of Directors of The WorkPlace will convene its quarterly meeting, continuing the oversight of the development of southwestern Connecticut’s regional workforce. Governor Ned Lamont will be the guest speaker addressing state-wide issues impacting the workforce and economy recovery.
Joseph Carbone, CEO & President of The WorkPlace will provide the Board with an update on workforce trends impacting the labor market including how the skills gap is impacting employer’s efforts to secure talent.
Members of the Board of Directors are nominated by the Chief Elected Officials of the 20-town region served by The WorkPlace. A majority of Board members are from the business community; other members include representatives from labor, human services, community-based organizations, education and government.

From I-95 south, take Exit 27 (Lafayette Blvd.). Use right hand exit ramp to enter Lafayette Blvd. Parking garage is on your right one light from the exit ramp. From I-95 north, take Exit 27. Go two blocks to Lafayette Boulevard. Go left onto Lafayette (going under I-95). The parking garage entrance is on your right about 1 1/2 blocks from the underpass.
