In the latest blow to exhibitors who have re-opened their doors over the last month-plus, MGM announced this afternoon that Daniel Craig's final James Bond film, No Time to Die, will be delayed from next month's planned November 20 release to April 2 of next year.

Earlier this week, Disney made the latest seismic moves to its -- and exhibition's -- release calendar with the delay of Marvel Studios' Black Widow from November 6 to May 7, 2021. While the move is widely lauded as another signal from Disney that the studio remains committed to the theatrical experience and the revenue windows it provides, it underscores the reality that moviegoing on a domestic and international scale will take much longer to recover than hoped or planned for.
