The WorkPlace is happy to announce the grand opening of a new American Job Center located at 141 Franklin Street, Stamford. American Job Centers are at the heart of the workforce investment system. This center provides an integrated array of high-quality services so that workers, job seekers, and businesses can conveniently find the help they need under one roof in an easy to reach location.
American Job Centers are designed to help businesses find qualified workers and help job seekers obtain employment and training services to enhance their careers. As part of the national American Job Center Network this location will provide services to unemployed and underemployed individuals seeking job search assistance at no cost. Job seekers are afforded convenient access to the employment, education, training and information services they need at a single location. Individuals may register for computer classes, job skill workshops, personal career counseling, and skill testing.
Additionally the American Job Center provides a number of no cost services to employers including posting of employment opportunities on our job boards, referrals of qualified job candidates from our extensive pool of clients and access to worker training grants.
